Message: So sorry to hear about your accident and your car. Glad you are OK, though.

When I had an accident, my car wasn't totaled, but the one behind me was... I kept in touch with her, and she got WAY more than what her car was worth at the moment. Of course, it will be different with your case since your car is so new and have few miles. However, since the MINIs are "resale value" kings and queens, you should be able to get pretty close to retail. There are few people on this board with insurance company experiences (e.g., Kyle B). They may provide more substantial help.
