| Message: | | Need some advice based on owner experience. At 27,000 MINI gave me a new "rebuilt" transmission. This was four weeks ago. Symptoms were stalling on putting into reverse, many times no acceleration for 50', jerking when slowing down, lurching transmission. The rebuilt was installed, programmed, etc. Within 4 weeks I have the same problems again...but worse. Stop-and-go traffic is miserable to drive in. There is no way to just ease down on the accelerator without the car jumping. More frequent now is the lack of power. (Seems to initiate the problem when I've had to put the car in reverse)I had to shut off the car, start it up and then I could accelerate past 30MPH.
Ok, anyway, the dealer has reprogrammed the adaptation and tells me its much better now. Before I go to the dealer and complain that it's just like it was 4 weeks ago (better but not great) is the transmission suppose to be a relatively smooth transition between gears or do they jerk? What about the inability to get proper acceleration for 3 blocks until the car is turned off and restarted?
Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks for your help.
