I would vote NO! Bought my last MB. This is my reply to another post:
"Have the same problem with our 00 CLK 320. This is a basic design flaw. Its a common problem and MB does not care. Perhaps your dealer will give you a discount,but I doubt it. Basically you need a new shifter control unit and window control unit. The shifter control unit is about $400.00 for the part and about $300.00 for the labor. The window control don't know the cost. Newer models have the shifter control module better protected. I removed the shifter cover, but have not been able to determine how to remove the module. Trying to find out on the internet. Don't want to pay MB service for this, it looks like to me they could have designed this better. MB does not stand behind their cars like they used to. Also they are not as dependable. They have definitely lost a customer for life. I am also spreading the word. I sure hope they will lose more money than I will be. "
