| Message: | I have read your post several times and I am still confused as to why you want to "hardwire" something into the deck. You would likely have to open the deck, find the right place to put a switch (to select form iPod and OEM sound), worry about the impedance match, signal level, polarity, and type (single ended signal vs. differential signal), to figure out if it would even work. The best and most reliable solution is (assuming there is a module for your car/year) is in fact to use an adapter. I would recommend the DICE kit for the iPod as it gives you integrated iPod usage in the car using the steering wheel controls.
