BMW version seems way over-priced ... (739 views) 
Message: I just saw this at the local Tweeter store. Did you do your own install or had it done? If you did your own, any tips?

I started to look into this since I have BT in my Dodge Charger and both my wife and I absolutely love it. I definitely want to find a way to add this to my 540i, but I am "not" paying the BMW prices for their kit. What I want is a simple muting and hands-free while in the car. The whole concept of BT is very simple if you break it down to basics and it is not worth that much ($600-700) at all in my opinion (the Charger Option and the kit from the dealer is like $175-200 for the same exact thing!).
